In a dynamic and increasingly globalized business environment, it has become necessary to combine operational success allowing for financial restrictions with a long-term corporate strategy that maintains or enhances value. To achieve this target, companies require an operational Controlling function and the relevant trained decision makers who are able to recognize unwanted developments well in advance and initiate corrective action.
Students in the postgraduate course in Controlling deepen and expand their knowledge in the core subjects of business administration that are particularly relevant for controlling (such as strategic management, controlling, accounting and financing) as well as in multidisciplinary areas (such as business process management, information management, change management and sustainability management). In addition, students learn the appropriate methods enabling them to handle complex tasks and problems by selecting, planning and implementing sensible solution strategies. In particular, the course enables students to apply the specialized knowledge they have acquired by combining information in new ways to find targeted solutions, and also enables them to acquire new knowledge quickly.
