  • Laboratories and computer rooms are available in the department where students have the necessary facilities, supervision and modern technology to work on their projects. Regular field trips to companies bring students in contact with real-life applications. Students make detailed preparations for an annual field trip to a venue abroad.
  • In the postgraduate course in Civil Engineering - Support Structure Planning and Project Management, students deepen their knowledge by focusing on important subfields of structural design such as engineering mathematics, steel construction, stability theory and numerical methods. In Project Management students acquire knowledge of calculation and claim management, construction methods and construction management as well as project management.
  • In some subjects students take the same modules as postgraduate students of Architecture. In these subjects students work on projects together and in this way develop their interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • During the course, students gather experience in dealing with problems they will be confronted with in their future careers. At the beginning of year two students can select further specialization topics suited to their interests.
