- With the knowledge they have in the core subjects of mathematics and the natural sciences and the expertise they have in biological processes, bioanalysis and pharmaceutical issues, students learn to use scientific methods to solve problems in the multidisciplinary subject of bioengineering / biopharmaceutical engineering. They also learn to analyse new scientific findings, view these critically and utilize these for practical applications. They develop the skills required for creative and independent academic research that they assume responsibility for.
- Optional modules in two areas allow students to deepen their knowledge of process engineering fields or molecular bioengineering. The relevant laboratories available to students help them better understand the practical application of the concepts learned in lectures. By involving students in current research projects, they learn to work in teams and apply their interdisciplinary knowledge. In addition, research projects are conducted in cooperation with partner universities at home and abroad and with multinational corporations. Here students work in international teams.
