
Overview
In our Master of Engineering Practice at Swinburne University of Technology students build on their undergraduate study to prepare for a career as a Civil, Electronics, Mechanical or Microelectronic Engineer.
It should appeal to recent graduates from a Bachelor of Engineering looking for postgraduate education to differentiate themselves from other engineering graduates entering the workforce. The entry requirements for Master of Engineering Practice are as follows:- a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree (minimum 4 years of full time study) in an approved cognate field, or
- a Graduate Certificate of Engineering degree in an approved cognate field following on from a 4-year Bachelor of Engineering degree, or
- a qualification deemed to be equivalent to any of the above.
Satisfactory completion of one of the following:
- IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0
- Swinburne’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with overall 70%, all skills 65%
- Or equivalent measures available at English language requirements.
