About the Programme
The Communication and Marketing Management programme at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences approaches communication and marketing as functions that impact the success and well-being of an entire organisation. The focus is on communication and marketing experts who promote their organisation’s ability to the goals set. Communication and Marketing Management students have the opportunity to study and develop organisations’ strategy-driven communication and marketing in a digital business environment and stakeholder networks.
The themes of this specialisation include:
- strategic brand management
- planning and management of creative processes
- utilisation of digital marketing technologies
- development of effective communication in various human interactions
This specialisation is intended primarily for experts in communication and marketing, who want to improve the entire field along with their own skills. This specialisation is also perfect for career changers, provided that the student learns the basics of communications and marketing on their own.
Communication and Marketing Management prepares students for demanding communication and marketing positions of expertise and managerial work, for example, communications manager, marketing manager, and brand manager. Students can also combine these studies with entrepreneurship studies and start or develop their own businesses.

- Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in the field of business and at least two years (24 months) of general work experience after completion of the Bachelor's (or higher) degree
- An applicable Bachelor’s (or higher) degree and at least two years (24 months) of work experience in the field of business after completion of the Bachelor's (or higher) degree
- Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in the field of business and at least two years (24 months) of work experience in field of business after completion of the Bachelor's (or higher) degree
- Official (signed and stamped) transcript of records of the studies required for eligibility (30 ECTS)
- Copy of Bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree certificate
- Copies of work certificates
- Copy of the Finnish qualification and copy of statement of the qualification by the Finnish National Agency for Education, if the degree has been completed outside Finland
Work experience
Minimum 3 years of working experience after completing one’s bachelor’s degree.
