About

Students of the Athletic Training program of Midland University learn in a heavily hands-on learning environment that not only allows them to learn techniques but also how to apply them in real life situations.

Overview

During their training, students will grasp the key fundamentals of athletic training concepts by doing the exercises themselves. By allowing our students this opportunity to learn hands-on, we can improve their order of thinking and increase critical thinking.

With a smaller school experience, Master of Athletic Training students will have access to various interprofessional opportunities with our growing Human Performance and Nursing programs. Midland’s recently opened Simulation Lab allows students hands-on experience with mannequins exhibiting a variety of conditions, and the renovated dedicated Athletic Training space provides a home for athletic training development. Athletic Training is offered by Midland University.

Simulation Lab

Midland’s Simulation Lab allows students to experience a variety of conditions in an environment that is ideal for training approach and effectiveness. The renovated, dedicated athletic training space provides a home for athletic training development.

Inside of the athletic training space, our students train on mannequins in multiple scenarios of patient care. In fact, our mannequins can interact with students as a real-life patient would.
