Overview
The Intercultural Studies degree at Johnson University is intended for students with diverse levels of cross-cultural experience and emphasizes scholarship and practical experience. Students combine a core of foundational and advanced courses with one of four concentrations: Community Development, Scripture Impact, Translation, or Customized Concentration. Depending upon their concentration, graduates are equipped for missional, para-church, development, and marketplace roles in the cross-cultural and local context and may enter into such mission specialties as church planter, relief and aid worker, or Bible translator.

To provide flexibility for Christians working in the United States and around the world, Johnson University offers an applicable, achievable, and affordable Master of Arts degree in Intercultural Studies from an accredited university. Students in this program are not required to make campus visits but have access to many online academic resources and tools. Enhancing the intercultural focus, the program curriculum also emphasizes intercultural development within individuals, families, and faith communities.
