
Overview
The MSc Global Accounting from The University of Law Business School is ideal for students with numerical backgrounds who have an interest in developing an in depth specialist knowledge and a critical understanding of the key aspects of global accounting, and in particular, who are looking to pursue, advance or switch to a career in global accounting.
The programme
The master's programme is designed so that you can complete your course in a 12 month period. You will develop a broad comprehension of the most important concepts in global accounting with a strategic perspective in a global context. The Business School prides itself on the depth and practical relevance of the knowledge delivered on it programmes by academics with practical experience to ensure that research is melded with relevant real-life application.
You will apply theoretical concepts and accounting and finance models to real life case studies, in an online environment. The programme provides the intellectual underpinnings required for a career in a rapidly changing work environment, a rigorous approach to self-awareness and personal development and a significant exposure to the world of work and its current demands.
The course offers the development of in depth intellectual and professional knowledge of corporate financial management that is covered by a range of modules covering governance, social responsibility, risk management, banking regulation, corporate reporting, finance and performance management.
This range of subject areas will enable you to take-up or further your professional qualifications as well as your academic qualifications. Furthermore you will gain valuable experience in research within your specialist field through the completion of a dissertation, also presentation, communication, team work and critical problem solving skills.
Through our partnership with GISMA Business School, this course is also available to study in Berlin. You can expand your study experience by rotating across our campus locations in the UK and Berlin.
During your time at ULaw Business School, you can complete modules at alternative campus locations, returning to your ‘home’ campus to complete your final module. Visa restrictions and study conditions may apply, however you are supported throughout the rotation process.
