About the program

The Industrial Design from METU Middle East Technical University is intended for applicants who wish to pursue academic careers in industrial design, and for those who wish to develop design-related research and organizational skills for their professional career.

In addition to industrial design graduates, the program welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, such as other fields of design, the fields of engineering, management and social sciences. Graduates of other disciplines are required to follow a deficiency program, which involves undergraduate courses through which they develop an understanding of the industrial design activity, including the terminology, techniques, and communication skills.

General requirements

International Graduate Students' Registration Form: The form is expected to be downloaded by the student and filled, including the student's signature.
ALES / GRE Score Sheet: The score sheets are valid for five years from the exact date they are announced. Students who used to be registered in one of the graduate programs of METU and then either canceled the registration on their own will or were dismissed from the program are not asked to provide a new ALES / GRE score only if they have not been registered to graduate programs of METU for one academic year at max.
