About

As a public health specialist, you have the power to help protect the health of populations around the globe. During the MPH (Boston) program offered by the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, you can study on a full or part-time basis, either on campus or online. 

During two or more years, you’ll study the five core disciplines of public health, including biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental health science, health policy and management, and social and behavioral sciences. 

When you graduate, you’ll be well prepared to develop strategies that address complex health issues in a meaningful career. Attendance at an in-person orientation on the Boston campus is required for all new students prior to Fall enrollment.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

General Requirements

For admission to the program, an applicant must have:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3.0 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Statement of Goals (500 words) that demonstrates an interest in and/or passion for public health
  • Current resume demonstrating experience and/or education in public health or related discipline.
