Overview

The Graduate Religious Studies program at the Mount offers students the unique opportunity to work with professors deeply committed to student success, willing to accommodate the schedules of working students, and support a variety of areas of theological inquiry.  Rooted within the broader mission of MSMU LA and the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, a mission that calls for us be advocates for social justice and change, our program emphasizes praxis-based theories and methods in religion and theology, which allows students to be consistently immersed in the questions and concerns of particular communities and use these experiences to shape their own theological questions and responses.

  • Application and application fee.
  • One official, sealed, transcript of all previous college work, both undergraduate and graduate, sent directly from each institution to the Office of Graduate Admission.
  • Letters of recommendation from persons who have had ample opportunity to judge the applicant's academic ability, achievement and professional potential.
  • Statement of interest/application essay.
  • For DPT applicants, official GRE score reports should be submitted to PTCAS.  
  • An interview with graduate faculty may be included, depending on the program.
  • MSN and ADN to MSN applicants must meet all nursing department policies regarding health data, immunization/tests/titers.
