The Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program offered by the University of California, San Francisco emphasizes health promotion and maintenance in all patient interactions. Our AGPCNP graduates practice in community and hospital-based primary care clinics, in patient’s homes, in sub-acute/skilled nursing facilities, and in long-term care settings.
AGPCNP specialty coursework and supervised clinical experiences emphasize:

- interprofessional, team-based clinical training
- advocacy for vulnerable, high-risk adult populations
Certifications and LicensesAGPCNP graduates are eligible for certification as a Nurse Practitioner through the California Board of Registered Nursing (no examination required).
