Theological Studies from Columbia Theological Seminary is a flexible theological studies degree program for those who are preparing for a doctoral level program, church leadership positions, or specialized lay ministry. 


Theological Studies from Columbia Theological Seminary may also be used to investigate the relationship between a profession and issues of faith such as business, law, the arts, medicine or science.

Learning outcomes

Full-time students may complete the program in two years. Prospective MA(TS) students are encouraged to attend one of our Seminary Weekends in Decatur, GA near Atlanta, offered in November and February of each year.

  • Academic writing sample from within the past five years, which demonstrates your ability to think and write in a clear, nuanced manner about an academic subject of your choice.
