Overview
At Nutrition, Food Science and Technology programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong students will an understanding of the subjects at the interface of human nutrition and food science.
Students at Nutrition, Food Science and Technology programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong will:
- an understanding of the chemical, physical and microbiological characteristics of food and food products in the context of their manufacture and storage and in relation to food technology and their safety and nutritional attributes
- an understanding of current research in nutrition related to diet and health issues and its implications for public health as well as its impact on the food chain and associated industries locally and globally
- skills in gathering, critically evaluating, incorporating, refining and effectively communicating new scientific data and knowledge

- graduated from a recognized university and obtained a bachelor's degree, normally with honours not lower than Second Class; or
- graduated from an honours programme of a recognized university with a bachelor's degree, normally achieving an average grade of not lower than "B"; or
- completed a course of study in a tertiary educational institution and obtained professional or similar qualifications equivalent to an honours degree.
