In this inter-faculty joint degree Digital Humanities program at the University of Alberta, students may complete the MLIS degree in conjunction with the Master of Arts in Humanities Computing. This is a thesis-based degree program, which typically extends over three years of full-time study.

The Humanities Computing Program and the School of Library and Information Studies offer a combined Digital Humanities program at the University of Alberta program option that students can complete within three years. 

The combined program is offered on-site at the University of Alberta and requires 45 credits (or equivalent) and a thesis for completion.
