Overview
Traditional Chinese Medicine from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine at California Institute of Integral Studies (ACTCM) emphasizes hands-on clinical training in conjunction with the study of theoretical material, allowing students to gain an understanding of and appreciation for the depth of the medicine. Our master’s program comprises of the following areas of study: Chinese medicine, acupuncture therapeutics, herbal medicine, biomedicine, and clinical training.
ACTCM students receive the highest standards of instruction, in a scholarly academic environment that has one of the strongest records and reputations in the country of producing knowledgeable healers and leaders at the forefront of acupuncture.
Graduates with Traditional Chinese Medicine from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine at California Institute of Integral Studies (ACTCM) will:
- Have the opportunity to intern at ACTCM’s on-site Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic, Auricular Clinic, and several specialized clinical sites in the Bay area which include community health clinics, academic medical centers, hospitals and more.
- Gain knowledge in herbal theory, identification, and function of more than 350 herbs.

- Applicants with cumulative GPAs less than 3.0 must submit an additional GPA
- Statement in order to be considered for admission.
- A minimum of 90 semester- or 135 quarter-units from an accredited U.S. institution of higher education or a foreign equivalent.
- A grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. However, a GPA below 3.0 does not automatically disqualify an applicant and ACTCM will consider prospective students whose GPA is between 2.0 and 3.0.
