    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.     C1 Advanced is a Cambridge English Qualification. It reports on the Cambridge English Scale between 142 and 210. You will receive a separate score for each of the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and for Use of English. These five scores are averaged to give you an overall result for the exam. Universities and colleges may ask you to achieve a specific score, either overall or for a particular skill.

    Note: degree programmes and applications may require a more specific minimum score for admission.

Academic Requirements

  • Completion of an AQF level 7 Bachelor degree; or
  • Five (5) years or more relevant industry experience in IT or Data Science/Data Analytics; or
  • Other qualifications or practical experience recognised by the Dean, College of Science and Engineering as equivalent to the above.
  • Entry requirements for this course are consistent with the Pathways to Qualifications in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF level 9) Guidelines for Masters degrees.

Work Experience

If a Bachelor degree is not presentAt least five years of relevant work experience in an IT or data science-related industry. Industry experience will need to include some background in computing, data analysis or programming.  Application based on relevant industry experience must be supported by a detailed CV and proof of work experience.
