    The Master of Science in Nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

    Programme Structure

    The curriculum focuses on baccalaureate-level nursing concepts and is taught in an intensive block format. Classes meet on alternate Tuesdays (in Fort Wayne) and online for your convenience. 

    Upon completion of the Transition Sequence, students begin MSN coursework. In order to take NURS 570/572 in the MSN program, students must have completed 1,000 hours paid RN clinical practice.

  • Submit 3 letters of recommendation
  • Discuss your contribution to the nursing profession and explain your preparations to be successful in the MSN program at USF in an essay.
  • Have an ASN, BSN or MSN degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States
  • Candidates with an associate’s degree must apply for the RN-MSN track
  • Candidates with a bachelor’s degree can apply for the MSN degree program
  • Hold a current license as a registered nurse
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
  • Applicants with a GPA of less than a 3.0, must have GRE scores of at least 150 on the verbal and quantitative sections and 4.0 on the analytic writing section.
  • A statistics course is highly recommended
