An applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapist studies, observes and modifies the behavior of a variety of clients. ABA therapists work in schools, intermediate units, mental health agencies, or within their own practice or consulting firm. The Clinical Counseling (Concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis Certification) program is offered at Eastern University.

ABA therapists often work with clients identified with developmental disabilities, primarily autism. Applied Behavior Analysts improve the growth, development, and quality of life for their clients by designing individualized interventions and instructional programs.
