Overview

This fully online Reading Specialist program at York College of Pennsylvania encourages live interaction in your classes, while also allowing you the freedom to complete assignments at a time convenient to your busy schedule. Our faculty, composed of dynamic and engaging youth literacy scholars and practitioners, will guide you every step of the way. 

You can choose to earn the full Master of Education degree with the Reading Specialist Certification (36 credits), or earn the Reading Specialist Certificate alone (24 credits). Students with a valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate will also be able to apply to PDE for the Instructional Technology Specialist Certification (PK-12).
