Students in Ohio Dominican University’s Master of Science in Healthcare Administration program develop skills and competencies for managerial positions in medical practice and other health services organizations and facilities. 

Students in ODU’s program gain knowledge of health care law, regulations and economics, and demonstrate strong leadership, analytical and decision-making skills. Special emphasis is placed on strategic planning to better prepare students for managerial survival in the dynamic business environment that now permeates the health care industry.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 3

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

General Requirements

  • Complete an online graduate application. 
  • Pay a $25 application fee. This fee is waived for ODU alumni, military veterans, and active members of the armed forces. Payment is due before we can process your application.
  • Sign and fax or mail the Acknowledgment Statement to the Office of Graduate Admissions.
  • Send official transcripts to the Office of Graduate Admissions from all post-secondary institutions attended.
  • Provide three letters of recommendation to the Office of Graduate Admissions.
  • Submit a 500-word (minimum) essay on the following topic: Medical and health services constitute a dynamic and important sector of the U.S. economy.
