As a contemporary science and applied profession, psychology represents a rational and systematic attempt to understand human behavior by studying the processes of development, perception, learning, motivation and thinking, and the relationship of these processes both to the physiological and social functioning of humans and animals. The Department has 5 programs of study leading to a PhD in Psychology, as well as a terminal master’s program in Addictions Counseling.

- A 3.0 GPA on all undergraduate coursework
- A grade of B or higher for an undergraduate course in industrial psychology, organizational psychology, human resource management (business), or organizational behavior (business)

- GRE scores required (This requirement is for all applicants and can be arranged for remote testing through the Educational Testing Service, even during the pandemic)
