Overview

The Business Administration MBA programme offered by Wrexham Glyndwr University is delivered through a series of six taught subject specific modules over two trimesters. Students also study research methods and submit a research proposal at the end of trimester two. During the third semester students complete a dissertation which involves a research element and attendance for a series of supervision meetings.

The programme is delivered over a one year period. Students will typically be expected to attend a three-hour block per week devoted to each module. This will consist of a lecture and a tutorial to enable skills development and application. Each module has two assessments which students will required to complete in order to progress on the programme.

  • The career direction of MBA students is both diverse and specialised, however roles requiring effective planning and undertaking of projects is strongly evidenced, together with enhanced responsibilities and the management of a team or group where leadership skills and decision making are clearly required.  Other roles may be more focused on a specialism such as human resources, marketing, and finance and accounting.

  • Minimum entry is a 2:2 class undergraduate degree.
  • Applicants, who do not meet the University of a 2.2 undergraduate degree will be assessed on an individual basis by interview. Relevant work experience will be taken into account when assessing applicants without an undergraduate degree.

  • Certificates and transcripts showing your academic progression so far.
  • Certified translations of overseas certificates and transcripts where the document is not in English or Welsh.
  • An acceptable English language certificate.

  • Evidence of finances to pay first year’s full tuition fee and to cover UKVI maintenance requirements.
