  • A $50 application fee is required to submit the application
  • Request official transcripts from all colleges or universities at which you previously completed coursework.
  • To be official, transcripts must be sent directly to CMU from the issuing institution.
  • Waived for CMU/Mesa State College attendees; we can obtain transcripts
  • Submit supplemental items through CMUconnect.
  • Letter of Intent - Provide information about your background in History, Political Science or related field, interests, aspirations, and how they relate to the Graduate Certificate in Social Sciences.
  • If pursuing the master's degree in education, include an explanation of your philosophy of education
  • Letters of recommendation (2 recommendations for certificate application, 3 recommendations for master's application)
