The Master of Catholic School Leadership Program at St. Mary’s University combines the essentials of general education administration with the special concepts and skills needed for effective leadership in Catholic education.

Sound theoretical and field-based experiences will be provided. The Catholic track also provides a special series of studies for preparing teachers for their role in Catholic schools. The Catholic School Leadership Program meets the state of Texas standards.

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • Application for Graduate Admission – no fee
  • Official university transcripts – graduate applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent from an accredited college or university. Request an official transcript from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended be sent to St. Mary’s University Office of Admission for Graduate Studies.
  • Letters of Recommendation – Two professional recommendations are also needed from individuals who can address your intellectual competence and potential for success (i.e. professors, employers, etc.). 
  • Graduate Admission Test Scores – Depending on your program, you will be required to submit GRE, GMAT, or MAT scores. St. Mary’s school code is 6637.
