Few people are born with the ability to manage complex projects and the extensive roster of individuals necessary to achieve success. That’s why the MBA program at Wingate University offers a concentration in project management. Best of all, thisconcentration has been validated by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

We also understand that managing your time, with family, career and personal interests, means finding a program that works for you. You’ll see that our curriculum is designed to address your needs with built-in flexibility. Start by taking our prerequisite core courses and then take either of the two project management concentration courses in any sequence. 

Programme Structure

Project / Program Management Fundamentals

This course examines and develops competency in the Project Management Institute’s methodology and approach to project and program management. Topics include the role of the project and program manager and the specific processes required for successful outcomes in managing projects, the origin of project management and its importance, the project and product life-cycles, the use of Microsoft Project to manage projects, and other project management techniques and processes.

Project / Program Management Leadership

The course examines both managerial and transformational skills and abilities needed in leading projects and programs successfully. Topics include how to lead teams in cross-functional matrix organizations, virtual organizations, and constantly changing organizations. Various theories of leadership are examined as well as extensive use of experiential skills development and case analysis exercises.

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and GPA. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Our review of your official transcripts from all colleges and universities you’ve attended.
  • Official GMAT scores or GRE scores.* We offer a free GMAT Prep Course to help candidates prepare. The Wingate University code for GMAT is 00GNM-75. Our code for GRE is 5693.
