There are several endorsements within the Master in Teaching that students can choose to study. Each pathway will lead candidates toward becoming certified teachers.

The mixed mode MIT has both in-person and online classes. This option allows students to complete the majority of their coursework online while also benefiting from a dedicated local faculty who will mentor you throughout the coursework and internship portions of your learning.

Programme Structure

  • This course focuses on a project-based approach to teaching the Social Sciences while establishing opportunities for direct classroom application and transformative student learning. Emphasis is placed on the integration of the social, ecological and economic dimensions of sustainability. Candidates learn to incorporate project-based pedagogy, theory and practice and how best to implement them into classroom instruction.
  • This course examines models for the delivery of services in special education as defined by the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) including definitions, placement procedures, least restrictive environment, early interventions, inclusion, program delivery models, integration, and school to work programs.
