Overview

The Social Work programme offered by Park University. is one of the nation’s few accredited programs with an advanced concentration in behavioral health. Within this concentration, you’ll choose one of three areas of emphasis:

  • Gerontological social work
  • Military social work
  • Social work with children and families

The core of Park University’s Master of Social Work (MSW) includes field education, as well as courses in grant writing, behavioral health, diagnostic trends and leadership. If you have a bachelor’s degree from a Council on Social Work Education-accredited program, you can apply for advanced standing in our program and earn your degree on an accelerated basis.

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited program.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 is preferred; or a GPA of at least 3.0 for the last 60 credit hours of the baccalaureate program. Note: lower GPA’s will be considered for probationary admission.
  • The GRE is NOT required.
  • Three professional or academic references who can assess your potential for graduate study in social work.
  • Attach your resume.
  • Submit your 3 written narratives.
