The master of arts in ministry studies program is designed to help you formulate a biblical philosophy of ministry and develop comprehensive ministry skills for use in the local church or on the mission field.
Throughout your studies, you’ll learn to apply sound principles of interpretation to Scripture, answer practical life and ministry questions biblically, and sharpen your ministry philosophy.
This program offers two elective emphases: cross-cultural studies and pastoral studies. Pastoral studies electives equip men to enter the ministry as youth pastor or assistant pastor and also offer excellent preparation for pursuing the master of divinity degree. These electives may be earned through modular courses available on Mondays only, over six consecutive semesters.
Our cross-cultural studies emphasis prepares men and women for foreign missions and cross-cultural ministry. You’ll develop your knowledge of both the theory and practice of missions and ministry in different cultures. You’ll explore the many aspects of cultural anthropology as you learn to minister the unchanging Word of God in other cultures and to other groups.
