Designed specifically for the working adult, this flexible and accelerated MSN/MBA dual degree program allows you to earn both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Nursing.Learn how to design and execute specialized health care systems, identify and resolve organizational challenges and manage the financial order of a healthcare organization.


Registered nurses interested in obtaining an MBA as well as an MSN have the opportunity to pursue a dual degree at Lewis. Degree requirements for the dual program may vary from the information provided in this catalog. Contact the MBA department in the College of Business or the Department of Graduate Studies in the College of Nursing and Health Professions for information and program requirements.

The dual degree program Master of Science in Nursing and Master of Business Administration is based on the MSN and MBA curricula. The credit hour requirement for the MSN program is 33semester hours. Requirement for the MBA program is 30 hours. The dual degree total credit hour requirement is 63 semester credit hours.

English requirements

TOEFL admission requirements TOEFL® IBT The TOEFL iBT® is given online through the internet at designated testing site. The test measures your English-language abilities in an academic setting. The score refers to the total score of 4 subjects (writing, listening, speaking, and reading), each subject has a range of 0 - 30.
IELTS admission requirements IELTS The International English Language Test System (IELTS) tests your English-language proficiency on a scale of 1 – 9. The score refers to the combined average score of 4 subjects (writing, listening, speaking, and reading).

General requirements

  • All candidates for admission must possess a bachelor’s degree in aviation from a regionally accredited institution of higher education or in a major in a related field. Individuals who have completed a bachelor’s degree in an unrelated area but have work experience in aviation and/or transportation industries may also apply. The applicant’s overall undergraduate GPA must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. In special cases, the GPA may be calculated on the most recent 60 semester hours of coursework. Additionally, applicants must submit:

    • A completed application (along with a nonrefundable application fee).
    • Academic transcripts from each institution attended.
