As the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) states, as a school counselor you will help students focus on academic, career and social/emotional development along with preparing students to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society.

  • This School Counseling program at Lewis University is designed to prepare teachers to work effectively as K-12 school counselors. 
  • There are two options available: upon completion of the program, you will receive a Master of Arts in School Counseling, making you eligible for the Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counselor Endorsement. Additionally you may take coursework to be eligible to sit for the Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) exam.
