The Shipping and Maritime Studies program delivered by the European University Cyprus (EUC), with its comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach that incorporates theoretical frameworks, project work and case studies, enables students to develop critical thinking as well as an in-depth understanding of the concepts and characteristics of the shipping industry.


Graduates of the program will be able to work in the shipping industry. Graduates are expected to work in Shipping companies (ship management, ship freight and logistic, ship finance and trade) as well as in Port Management companies (commercial management, maritime regulation, transport). 

Graduates already in the Shipping industry will be able to develop further their career by acquiring higher positions and responsibilities. Additionally, prospective holders of the MSc wishing to move into the industry and develop or diversify their career will be able to improve their employment opportunities by demonstrating knowledge and understanding of the Shipping and Maritime concepts.

  • The general admission requirement for graduate programs is the successful completion of a Bachelor degree at a recognized institution, or its equivalent (professional qualifications).
  • A completed application form together with a non-refundable fee of €52. 
  • Official copy of a Bachelor’s Degree, in English, from a recognized university, with an average grade of ‘C’ or above, or official copies of professional qualifications.
