Teaching in various Physiological topics are extended to students in other curriculums within and outside the Faculty as well as to students in other universities.
The lectures cover the basic cell physiology and physiology of all organ systems with emphasis on the dynamic concepts of living matter necessary for futher medical study. The topic include the following: Nerve and muscle physiology, cardio-vascular physiology, respiration physioogy, gastrointestinal physiology, renal physiology, endocrine physiology and exercise physiology.
Physiology of the central nervous system is taught in the third yearcourse. The practical works are designed to illustrate certain functions of the body and to simulate the students ability toanalyze and interpret the results.
Department staffs conduct researches on various aspects of physiology, i.e. endocrine, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, neurophysiology. Many researches are directed to the Thai medicinal plants in order to examine their claimed activities. Results of these researches are published in various national and international scientific journals and presented in both local and international conferences.
