Consistent with this objective, the Applied Health Physiology program from Salisbury University fosters a strong commitment for every student to earn an appropriate professional credential. Students may choose from a credentialing focus within:

  • Clinical physiology (American College of Sports Medicine)
  • Fitness and wellness (American College of Sports Medicine)
  • Strength and conditioning (National Strength and Conditioning Association)

Additionally, every student participates in at least 400 hours of supervised internship in varied practice areas, such as:

The Health and Human Performance program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Applied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) within the exercise physiologist domain. In addition, our program has been awarded recognition as a graduate studies program by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). General requirements

  • Completion of a baccalaureate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants with a cumulative GPA between 2.75 and 2.99 may be considered.
  • Completion of an application for graduate studies.
  • Payment of the application fee.
  • Submission of official transcript(s) from all colleges/ universities attended.
  • Two academic letters of recommendation.
  • One-page personal letter stating career goals(s).
  • For international students, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is required. Contact program for further information.
