Areas of Study
With the Teaching program of Pacific University Oregon, you can become an elementary, middle or high school teacher. Programs are available at our Forest Grove and Eugene campuses in full-time or hybrid formats.
The MAT in Special Education, an hybrid online program, prepares you as a K-12 special education teacher and includes practicum placements in your local school district. Courses are primarily online, with occasional face-to-face coursework at either Forest Grove or Eugene campuses.
The MAT in STEM/ESOL, available only in Woodburn, is embedded in the Woodburn School District, where you gain experience serving diverse multilingual middle- and high-schoolers and earn endorsements as a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics teacher.
The Arbor School Teacher Residency Program, available from the Forest Grove Campus, prepares you as a K-12 teacher in a unique, immersive environment in partnership with the Arbor Center for Teaching.
