The Academic program
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kitami Institute of Technology aims at nurturing engineers who can “manufacture” demonstrating their own creativity. Hence, we set learning objectives for the students to acquire basic knowledge of mechanical engineering and its applications.
The focus areas involve theoretical and experimental procedures pertaining to kinematics and dynamics of machinery, heat transfer and heat exchange, fluid dynamics and fluid control, internal combustion engine and gas dynamics, mechanical design, control systems design, materials processing and evaluation, advanced materials and computer applications, and manufacturing engineering.
