LSU offers the MS and PhD in Plant Pathology and Crop Physiology with opportunities for specialization in plant pathology or crop physiology. The MS program in plant pathology requires 30 credit hours of coursework and research credit, while the crop physiology option requires 31 credit hours. A non-thesis option in plant pathology requires 36 credit hours of coursework.     The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading). Academic Requirements

All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for unconditional admission:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution or the equivalent from a foreign institution.
  • A grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00 (A = 4.0) on all undergraduate work (or in the final 64 credit hours) and any graduate work already completed.
  • Acceptable GRE or GMAT scores. The E.J. Ourso College of Business, except for the MS and PhD in Economics, requires a GMAT score. The MPA program and the Information Systems & Decision Sciences program accepts either the GRE or GMAT. Consult the department’s website for minimum test scores required.
