The M.A. in Modern Languages at University of Arkansas focuses on language pedagogy and teaching technologies, which complements the central focus of these programs that falls on the literature and culture of the speaking worlds. 

Overview

The Modern Languages program offered by University of Arkansas offers students the option of two different tracks: French and German.

Besides languages, literatures, and cultures, we would also like to promote other fields of study related to a language, such as history, anthropology, geography, political science, economics, and communication. All of these studies come together and make up our featured Interdisciplinary Studies.

Graduates with M.A. in Modern Languages from University of Arkansas will: 

  • have a solid preparation to pursue a Ph.D. or to teach at the college or secondary levels
  • be able to to pursue careers in education, government, international organizations and other business opportunities either abroad or within the United States.
