At Saint Joseph’s University, the M.S. in psychology offers students a general curriculum of study with an emphasis on experimental psychology. The program seeks to train graduates to independently design and conduct psychological studies, analyze and interpret data and professionally communicate the findings of the studies. This full-time program of study is designed for completion in two years.


The graduate program in psychology offers core and elective courses in topics such as biopsychology, memory, social psychology and many other specialized areas of research.  Independent research is strongly emphasizes and students participate in directed studies and complete a master’s thesis based on empirical research.
