Overview

The Diploma of Advanced Studies in Cardiac Arrhythmia Management at The European Heart Academy trains future leaders in arrhythmology to deliver state-of-the-art cardiovascular services in the next decade and beyond. 

Learning outcomes

DAS-CAM brings together renowned experts, who will cover not only clinical cardiac electrophysiology and device technology, but also the leadership, biostatistics and health economics perspectives.

This programme is a joint collaboration between the European Heart Academy of ESC, European Heart Rhythm Association and Maastricht University Medical Centre (MUMC).

Accreditation

The programme is developed in collaboration with Maastricht University and its successful completion leads to a Diploma of Advanced Studies issued by the University. 

Programme Structure

Courses included:

  • Towards an optimal use of the ECG in cardiac arrhythmia management 
  • Fundamentals of Cardiac Arrhythmogenesis 
  • How to organise an arrhythmia unit? 
  • Atrial fibrillation 
  • Ventricular tachycardia 
  • Cardiac pacing, defibrillation and electrical management of heart failure
  • Sudden arrhythmic death
  • Guideline implementation and future trends in arrhythmia management

  • have an experience as a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist, 
  • holding EHRA certification, or with sufficient experience to be eligible to take the EHRA EP exams / have experience with executive responsibility 
  • have a standard level of English
