The course offers an opportunity to study alongside UK practitioners from a wide range of business and professional backgrounds, and will deepen your knowledge of research methods.

You can investigate your chosen specialism through an independent research project, giving you enhanced knowledge in this area. You will also gain skills in project management and problem solving, as well as planning, analysis, organisation and implementation techniques.

The programme is designed for established Human Resource Managers seeking to enhance their career prospects at a senior management level. Applicants will have already gained the CIPD Advanced Diploma in HRM (equivalent to 120 Masters level points) under the current CIPD qualification structure, or will have already gained all four elements of the CIPD Professional Development Scheme (equivalent to 120 Masters level points) under the previous CIPD qualification structure.

Programme Structure

  • The Research Methods module is followed by a supervised 10,000 word Dissertation which allows you to draw upon your knowledge of human resource management through applied research, focused upon organisation or sector-specific environments.
