The Management (Entrepreneurship) programme offered by the University of Bristol is an intensive one-year programme that offers you a unique opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of small business enterprise and entrepreneurship, while gaining a thorough grounding in the core theories and concepts that are central to a career in management today. 

Overview

You will start by studying management theory across a range of core disciplines, including finance and accounting, organisational behaviour and strategic management. In term two you will gain a deeper insight into entrepreneurship then in the summer term your dissertation provides an opportunity for independent research and in-depth investigation into a particular aspect of entrepreneurship.

The Management (Entrepreneurship) programme offered by the University of Bristol is designed for graduates of any discipline who aspire to a career in management. It is not necessary to have any prior academic or practical experience in business or management. However, you would benefit from having an inquisitive mindset and a genuine interest in interrogating research in the field to develop your knowledge and understanding for use in later practice.

You will be part of a dynamic and diverse body of staff and students, and will be taught by experienced academics. Many staff within our School of Economics, Finance and Management are actively engaged in conducting pioneering research at international level, and our school was ranked sixth in the UK for its research impact (Times Higher Education analysis) the quality of our research and its role in shaping policy and practice in the UK, Europe and globally.

Careers

This MSc provides excellent preparation for a career in management. We aim to guide, teach and develop knowledgeable, thoughtful and entrepreneurial people who can apply management techniques from a range of disciplines. Previous graduates from the School of Economics, Finance and Management have gone on to work at a variety of companies all over the world, including Lloyds TSB, L'Oreal, Prominvest SA, Moscow, Deutsche Bank, LG Electronics, WHO-US, Hangzhou, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Marks & Spencer.
