Overview
The mission of the Department of Environmental Studies at the University of Illinois Springfield is to provide students with the advanced interdisciplinary training necessary for addressing environmental problems. Graduates of the department are prepared for diverse careers in environmental fields.
Learning outcomes
Objectives are to enable students in this Environmental Studies - Environmental Planning and Management program to:
- Understand principles and practices of environmental planning and management
- Analyze United States’ environmental policies as they relate to environmental planning
- Apply tools and techniques for preparing and implementing effective environmental plans
- Evaluate effectiveness of environmental management plans
