A graduate of MSc in Petroleum Geosciences Engineering will be able to solve geoscientific problems by integrating surface and subsurface data and to integrate such information with petroleum engineers. In addition, they will be able to formulate strategies and will have the key fundamental knowledge to develop, manage, and implement technology. Graduates are qualified for a broad range of positions within the petroleum industry and other industries where both engineering and geosciences are applied.
Today's research and professional careers are characterised by a multidisciplinary approach. Petroleum geoscientists have the knowledge and background required to work with specialists from other subject areas to solve important tasks for the benefit of society.
This study program educates highly qualified geoscientists for a wide range of jobs in the oil and gas industry. Petroleum geoscientists are an important professional group within a number of business areas and sectors:
- the petroleum or mining industries
- the construction sector
- the environmental sector
