Overview
At Teacher Leadership from Fort Lewis College a teacher leader is someone who:
- Promotes, advocates, and initiates meaningful change in P-12 education
- Collaborates with peers to develop and implement instructional initiatives that respond to problems in student learning and achievement
- Sees opportunities for change, analyzes data, shares ideas with colleagues, and helps to implement and evaluate initiatives
Eligibility & career possibilities
This Teacher Leadership program from Fort Lewis College, does NOT lead to principal licensure or teacher certification. To pursue teacher certification with us, we have three pathways for you:- Undergraduate programs (if you do not yet have a bachelor's degree)
- Post-baccalaureate program (if you already have a bachelor's degree)
- Master of Arts in Education, Teacher Licensure (if you already have a bachelor's degree)
- Administrator
- District Curriculum Team for Fine Arts
