Overview
The Shipping and Logistics program from SUNY Maritime College prepares students for leading the industry of the future. For over 50 years, the program has produced graduates who are leaders in the global maritime, logistics, and transportation industries and international trade, among others.

The program has a strong industry focus and is taught by our internationally renowned faculty who are deeply involved in all aspects of maritime commerce, logistic, and shipping.

Building on a solid foundation in transportation management, economics, international business and law, students progress to specialized courses in shipping, international trade, supply chain management, and logistics. Students work with faculty to choose course portfolios tailored to their needs and aspirations. Students can also undertake an optional internship.
Full-time students can complete the 34-credit program is as little as 18 months, assuming at least a 9-credit course load per semester. The program has in-person and distance learning options.

- Essay (The essay should be no more than 2 pages and should reflect the applicant's interest in the program for which they are applying)
- Résumé
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended, including at least one from an accredited institution demonstrating completion of a bachelor's degree
- Decisions are based on an applicant's academic performance, communication skills, professional accomplishments, and other relevant skills and abilities. Successful applicants generally have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0.
