Information Design at Domus Academy is a growing discipline strongly required by private companies, social enterprises and government agencies to crunch, interpret and visualize data for effective internal communications and public relations.

About

The multidisciplinary approach of the Master in Information Design at Domus Academy   brings together visual design, data analysis and creative coding. You will develop a skillset and a mindset to understand different cultural, social and economic contexts, translate complex information into engaging visual forms and narratives that are readable by different audiences, to support comprehensive communication strategies.

Career

After graduation you will develop a successfull career in the following fields: Digital Design, Data Visualization and Information Mapping, Visual Design and Branding, Trend Forecasting.

Accreditation

  • Upon graduation from Domus Academy, you’ll earn a degree that’s recognized around Europe and the world—an Academic Master’s Degree (60 ECTS credits) accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR). 
  • You’ll also earn a second valuable qualification: the Domus Academy Master’s Diploma.

Programme Structure

Courses aim at providing students, through a combination of lectures, exercises and tutorials, with the appropriate tools and experiences useful for the developing of their professional career. They encompass topics specific to the chosen curriculum, such as Data Analysis, Design Research Methods and Tools, and Data Visualization.

Guided by industry professionals and faculty project leaders, you will work in cooperation with leading companies on practical projects relating to interior & living design. Some possible workshop topics include the following:

Audience

The program is addressed to candidates who have a first-level degree and/or professional experience in Product Design, Visual and Graphic Design, Media and Web Design, Architecture, Computer Science, Engineering.

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.     C1 Advanced is a Cambridge English Qualification. It reports on the Cambridge English Scale between 142 and 210. You will receive a separate score for each of the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and for Use of English. These five scores are averaged to give you an overall result for the exam. Universities and colleges may ask you to achieve a specific score, either overall or for a particular skill.

    Note: degree programmes and applications may require a more specific minimum score for admission.

    PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

For this reason every year Domus Academy launches specific international contests, in partnership with leading companies, awarding the very best talents with three partial scholarships for each of the Courses, respectively covering part of the total tuition fee.
