Overview

Primary Physical Education degree offered at the University of the West of Scotland has received General Teaching Council Scotland’s (GTCS) Professional Recognition award which aims to support teachers to engage in high-quality professional learning and recognises accomplished teaching practice. GTCS accredits a professional learning course after assessing that it meets the standards expected of the award of Professional Recognition. The course does not include qualified teacher status; you must be a qualified and GTCS-recognised primary school teacher already to participate in this course.

Course Delivery

The PgCert is delivered online with face-to-face learning taking place on our Ayr Campus: three core modules run over the three trimesters within one academic year. It is recommended that you undertake the modules in the following order:
