Programme Structure

Our course will deepen and widen your knowledge and understanding of chemical and process engineering specialist topics. A wide range of modules are offered that advance the core knowledge base of the discipline and provide the necessary and continuing development of appropriate interpersonal and transferable skills at a level that a Chemical/Process Engineer would be expected to have, allowing you to function in an advanced engineering environment as senior engineers and managers. While the main focus our course is on taught modules, you will have the opportunity to explore a specific subject in more detail through your MSc dissertation module.

    C1 Advanced is a Cambridge English Qualification. It reports on the Cambridge English Scale between 142 and 210. You will receive a separate score for each of the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and for Use of English. These five scores are averaged to give you an overall result for the exam. Universities and colleges may ask you to achieve a specific score, either overall or for a particular skill.

    Note: degree programmes and applications may require a more specific minimum score for admission.

Don’t worry if your qualifications are not listed here, we take a range of factors into account when assessing your application and are happy to consider other alternative combinations of qualifications and experience.

You should possess a good second class Honours degree or equivalent qualification, in chemical engineering or related area from a recognised institution or an equivalent professional qualification, for MSc entry.

If you have a lesser degree qualification in engineering, and have appropriate professional or industrial experience, you may be considered for entry to the Postgraduate Diploma.
