The two-year master’s course in Mobile Technology from the Technical University of Ostrava is included in the study course in Communication and Information Technology and it is focused on the promising sphere of wireless networks and radio technology.

Overview

Within their studies, the students develop their knowledge above all in the spheres of mobile networks, radio technology, and SW design of applications for mobile devices, which also results in very good opportunities to find work positions as technicians for mobile networks and development workers in the sphere of the design and creation of the SW of mobile devices. The students can also proceed to doctoral studies.

The graduates can find employment both as operating and managerial workers in construction and maintenance of software systems in mobile networks as well as in the creation and administration of telecommunication and mobile networks.

The graduate of Mobile Technology branch at the Technical University of Ostrava gains an experience in the field of information and communication technologies with a focus on the mobile networks. He can design, operate, modify and optimize mobile wireless networks, develop, and optimize applications to end mobile devices; he has knowledge of mobile networks, radio technology and software designing of applications for mobile devices. Practical laboratory training is carried out in coordination and cooperation with experts of leading telecommunications companies which focus on providing mobile services such as T-Mobile Czech Republic and O2 Czech Republic.

Graduate's knowledge

  • In comparison with the Bachelor’s degree, the Master’s level of knowledge of the basic theoretical disciplines (e.g. mathematics) is deeper and broader. Moreover, the graduate is able to perform analyses. 
  • There are more complex, theoretically demanding or less frequently practical areas of information and telecommunication technology, e.g. processing and analysis of data of various kinds. 
  • The graduate is able to evaluate the above mentioned areas and understands the basic scientific methods applied here.
